Our birthday parties for kids boast age-appropriate activities that will keep everyone entertained. You and your birthday party guests can fully enjoy this momentous day. 

Our goal is to engage children in a way that maintains their comfort (including the birthday child) but does not feel so foreign that your guests feel any “stranger danger”.  We pride ourselves on tear-free 1st birthday parties! 

Our party staff works with babies day in and day out and we know how to invite children to participate in activities that will keep them happy during this very special day!

Depending on the ages of your guests, we can customize our sensory play to include a soft play area and young toddler appropriate materials and play objects. 

Our age appropriate soft play area for infants includes our pikler triangle, climbable stairs for crawling and walking, soft foam play elements, and infant appropriate toys. Your one year old can explore this sensory play area.
We are also able to include other sensory play set ups for older children that may be in attendance, creating an all-ages inclusive set up! 

Our musicians play music for children under one every day, and will tailor their music for your group! They will include infant appropriate movements, pass out instruments, and engage the children and adults alike. Our musicians are able to accommodate song requests and adjust to the theme of your party, so the music will be tailored to your family! Musicians will invite your adult guests accompanying children to participate in making music and entertain the whole group. 

Kids and adults alike love our musical entertainment! Our musicians are wonderful at getting everyone involved to create a special memory for your child on their birthday. We have several musicians to choose from, and you can always come to a Kids at Work class to check them out!

We offer first Birthday Parties at our Chelsea/Manhattan location on Friday afternoons, and Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons.

Our base party price includes 15 children aged 12 mos and older, including the birthday child and siblings.

 When booking a party for around 15 children, we assume each child will be accompanied by 1-2 adults, plus 8-10 additional adults that are extended family of the birthday child that may come without their own children.  

We can accommodate up to 20 children and their adults for an additional fee.  

When you book for more than 15 children, an additional staff member is employed to make sure everyone is engaged and your larger event goes off smoothly!  

Kids at Work birthday parties cannot accommodate more than 20 children.  Babies under 12 mos are free.  Please reach out if you have any questions about capacity at Kids at Work!

If you are expecting a large number of adults for your child’s first birthday party, we are able to accommodate a variety of adult food options and will make the most comfortable and fun experience for your guests as possible. 

We can work within your theme and include a cake smash for your baby (you provide the cake or we can order one as an add-on!)

For your baby’s 1st birthday party, we create an inviting eating area for the end of the party for the smash cake moment!
